  • Come join us for a lively discussion with dTech's very own author, Alex Soojung-Kim Pang, and discuss his most recent book Rest: Why You Get More Done When You Work Less. Rest blends history, biography, and recent work in neuroscience and psychology to uncover the critical but under-recognized role rest plays in the lives of creative people. It shows how creative figures structure their days to make good use of rest, and why long walks, afternoon naps, vigorous exercise, and "deep play" stimulate creative work and sustain creative lives. Sea Bowl in Pacifica is a fun retro bowling alley that includes a great restaurant, arcade, bar, and billiards. Purchase an individual ticket or reserve an alley (6 people max). Lisa has been teaching for over 10 years and is welcoming you into her home for a day of instruction.     At the intersection of drawing and collage, artist Dana Harel will guide participants through the magical process of transferring images onto paper. Participants will piece together their own collage to transfer onto Bristol paper and then further embellish with traditional drawing materials. A rich variety of images will be available from which to choose. This is a repeat of the popular art session last year. If you missed it last year, please join this year for a creative and fun afternoon. All materials are included. Light refreshments will be served. All experience levels are welcome.
